One year of Yarn Alongs

This week I have been reading the Foxfire books & have been enjoying them thoroughly. Some of the stories are quite incredible. I have been working on my shalom cardigan & cannot wait to wear it. I am using super soft organic merino, so warm & cozy. A wonderful day to you all!

Many thanks to Ginny of Small Things for hosting these weekley yarn alongs.

PS sorry for the blurry photo, it is still dark outside : )

Foxfire? I've never heard of these - will have to look them up. Thanks. The Shalom is so nice! Yet another to-do project on the ever-growing list...

I worked in a bookstore in high school/college and we carried the Foxfire books. I've sold tons of them. But I honestly can't tell you anything about them. Are they fiction?

These books are on my list to read, soon. I'd love to hear your thoughts as you go, and see the continued progress of your knitting.

I just read another yarn along post where someone has frogged their Shalom! And then you are working on one here. Which is all one huge coincdence because I just cast on for one literally an hour ago. Will be watching for updates on how yours go :)

Thank you all for the kind words.

Becks,

I frogged my last shalom as it did not fit well. This time around I followed Soulemama's notes & it fit's perfectly. The next one I make I will pick up less sleeve stitches though. I wish you all the best with your shalom.

Love the color of your Shalom. I made one this summer. I have been wearing it this week and I love it. I seem to get a lot of compliments on it as well. win/win.
