Yarn Along

This week I finished my Faraway So Close shawl. I really love the pattern & I imagine I will knit more in the future. The yarn is an ultra fine organic Australian merino. I am reading Nourishing Traditions again by Sally Fallon. I am making the sour dough starter from the book & I  hope to be able to make sour dough bread this weekend. Thank you so much to Ginny of Small Things for hosting this weekly yarn along.

Your shawl is a work of art! Don't you love Nourishing Traditions? I find myself pulling it from the shelf more than any other cookbook I own.

I've been promising myself I'll try sourdough one of these days...

That shawl is beautiful indeed. And the colours -- stunning! I've read a lot about Nourishing Traditions but I haven't read it yet.... perhaps it will be a future yarn along book!

Such a gorgeous shawl. Your beautiful knitting and the yarn show off the pattern so nicely. Making your own bread is such a wonderful thing isn't is? Especially sourdough... yummy!

Lovely! I also wanted to let you know that the yarn arrived today. It's gorgeous and smelled so good. I'm already itching to cast on and think I found just the right sock pattern. Thank you!

What a beautiful shawl!... and I love your header. It just says home schooling to me. I think it is so important to not come between a child and his imagination. Lost in thought is the sub caption for your picture.
